Summary
Twelve-year-old Moose Flanagan moves to Alcatraz Island with his family when his father accepts a higher paying job as a prison guard. Moose leaves behind his friends in San Francisco so that his sister has the chance to get into a special school. Moose's sister, Natalie, has autism. Because of this, he has to give up much of his childhood to take care of her. But after all of his sacrifices, Natalie is rejected by her new school. Now, Moose feels it's up to him to get her accepted. Named a Children's Book of the Month Selection and a Junior Library Guild Selection, Al Capone does my shirts is an extraordinary story of struggle and triumph
