Summary
  • On the avenue: "When Gary Blake's new show starring Mona Merrick premieres, it angers socialite Mimi Carraway. But Mimi's bitterness turns to affection when she falls for Gary."--Container
  • Pin up girl: Lorrie Jones visits a popular hangout for servicemen. She falls in love with a war hero and tries to come up with a way to be near him. Lorrie pretends to be a Broadway star, and in turn she is hired by the USO and becomes a real star
  • Something for the boys: The Hart cousins - Blossom, Harry, and Chiquita - inherit Southern plantation Magnolia Manor, which proves to be a 'termite trap' and tax liability. They decide to turn the place into a hotel for army wives and put on a show to pay bills
  • You're in the navy now: Lieutenant John Harkness is given a command of his own ship, but the thing is that he is never commanded a vessel ship before and all his crew is new. The only good thing about this situation is that only two old deck hands know how to operate the boat
